With the No. 16 pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, theBaltimore Ravensbolstered their secondary by selecting Alabama cornerback Marlon Humphrey. The selection marks the first time the Baltimore Ravens have picked a cornerback in the opening round since 2011 when they selected Jimmy Smith.
Humphrey played two seasons at Alabama, including back-to-back College Football Playoff national championship appearances. They dynamic cornerback, who is the son of former Crimson Tide standout and NFL running back Bobby Humphrey, was redshirted in 2014 before starting in all 15 games in 2015.
In two seasons at Alabama (29 games), Humphrey recorded 81 total tackles, 13 pass deflections, five interceptions, and three forced fumbles, making him one of the most feared cornerbacks over the past two years.
