Fix the Special Teams

Last week, Jeremy Ross muffed a punt that set the Jaguars up for a touchdown. It was the second fumbled punt in three games and was enough for the team to cut him this week. It remains to be seen who takes over the return duties.

Asa Jackson also got himself released by committing two personal foul penalties on special teams. Both penalties took the Ravens out of great infield position and Harbaugh didn’t hold back his feelings about the fouls.

Justin Tucker hasn’t been his usual self either and missed another field goal last week. Granted, it was a 58-yard try, but Tucker has now missed three field goals from over 50 this season.

Harbaugh came into the NFL largely as a special teams coordinator and cannot be pleased with how his unit has performed all season long. Sam Koch is having another Pro Bowl season, but otherwise, it’s been a disappointing season throughout.
