Aiken and Gillmore Continue to Improve

Steve Smith needs help. Point blank, period. Perriman can be a legitimate deep threat for the Ravens, but unfortunately, he has yet to take the field.

Two young players, did step up on Sunday, however. Tight end Crockett Gillmore and wideout Kamar Aiken both made solid contributions and helped put Baltimore in a position to win the football game.

More from Baltimore Ravens

Gilmore caught five passes for 88 yards and two touchdowns. Aiken also reeled in five passes for 89 yards. As good as Gillmore was in the first half, he sort of disappeared in the second half. The Ravens appeared to go away from him, which was a huge mistake.

Gillmore was known more for his blocking ability, but now, he has become a serious pass-catching threat.

Aiken came on really strong last season and has picked up where he left off. The way he has played, he’ll make Perriman earn his spot when he returns from injury.
