Single-game tickets for regular season games have routinely sold out within the first 15 minutes and preseason games have sold out within a few days. The Ravens fans have always showed solid support for their guys in purple and black.

“Once again, over 99 percent of our permanent seat license owners have renewed their tickets for the upcoming season,” Ravens senior vice president of ticket sales and operations Baker Koppelman said. “We are fortunate to have one of the NFL’s strongest season ticket bases, but we will always make tickets available to our loyal group of single-game buyers as well.”

Those hopeful for tickets need to know that tickets can only be purchased online or by phone. Online, tickets will be available through www.BaltimoreRavens.com or www.ticketmaster.com. By phone, the local number to call is 410-547-SEAT. There will be no long lines outside Russell Street waiting for tickets, just long waits on the computer or phone.

Do not plan on seeing your favorite team early in the season. John Harbaugh, Joe Flacco and the rest of the Ravens spend the majority of the first two months on the road, with just two divisional matchups against the Bengals and Browns in the first seven weeks of the regular season at home.

The team will be in Baltimore for a long stretch dating from Nov. 1 to Nov. 22 that includes three home games and the all-important bye week that will be on Week 9 this season. They also have another three-game stretch at home during the month of December that could decide the Ravens’ playoff hopes. Two of those contests (Seahawks and Steelers) will be held on Sunday Night Football.

Ravens fans were voted the fourth-best fans in the NFL in a study released by Emory University. The study ranked the league’s fans based on statistics that analyze box office revenue, market size, win-loss records, median income and more over the course of the past 15 seasons. If you ever been to M&T Bank Stadium on a Sunday, you know how electric that stadium can get at times.

Single-game tickets are on sale tomorrow. Rookies report to training camp the following day and will have their first practices on Wednesday. The countdown to Ravens football is almost over. To quote former Raven Bart Scott: “Can’t wait.”
