Baltimore Ravens: Rating the Ravens’ Last 10 First-Round Draft Picks
By Ben Palmer
9. Ben Grubbs – G, 2007 NFL Draft
★★★★
Ben Grubbs was drafted with the 29th-overall pick of the 2007 NFL Draft out of the University of Auburn and was a very solid lineman for the Baltimore Ravens.
During the five years he spent with the Ravens, Grubbs started 70 out of 74 games and was ultimately elected to the Pro Bowl in 2011. He eventually left the Ravens, signing a five-year, $36 million deal with the New Orleans Saints.
He only spent a couple seasons in New Orleans however, making the Pro Bowl in 2013, before he was traded to the Kansas City Chiefs in March of 2015 in exchange for a fifth-round pick in the 2015 NFL Draft.
Grubbs started in seven games with the Chiefs before suffering an injury and being placed on injured reserve. The Chiefs subsequently released him at the end of the season.
