Baltimore Orioles Top 10 All-Time Leaders in Home Runs
By Ben Palmer
4. Brooks Robinson – 268 home runs
I mean, what can you say about Brooks Robinson, perhaps the greatest member of the Baltimore Orioles in history?
Robinson played for the Orioles for his entire career, from 1955 to 1977, and during that time, he went to 18 All-Star games, won 16 Gold Gloves, two World Series, a World Series MVP award, and an AL MVP award, and in 1983, he was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame.
Robinson wasn’t necessarily known for his power, his best year in home runs was also his career-best year offensively, which was 1964 when he slashed .317/.368/.521 with 28 home runs, 82 runs, and 118 RBIs.
What he was known for was his incredible glove, which was evidenced by his 16 Gold Glove Awards and the fact that he led the American League in fielding percentage 11 times, an MLB record.
Oddly enough, thanks to being a pretty slow runner, Robinson also holds the MLB record for most triple plays hit into with four.
