5. Adam Jones – 248 home runs

Adam Jones came to the Baltimore Orioles in another one of the greatest trades in the history of the Orioles. That trade saw the Seattle Mariners send Jones, Chris Tillman, George Sherrill, Kam Mickolio, and Tony Butler to the Orioles in exchange for Erik Bedard.

Since joining the Orioles, Jones has hit less than 25 home runs only twice (his first two seasons with the team), with his best season so far coming in 2013 when he slashed .285/.318/.493 with 33 home runs, 100 runs, 108 RBIs, and 14 stolen bases.

Jones is an interesting hitter because he swings at absolutely everything (he only has a 4.5% career walk rate) and yet is somehow able to keep making contact. He’s never had a good OBP (his career OBP is .318), but he’s always been a good hitter, never hitting below .265 in a single season, and only hitting below .270 twice.

As of this writing, Jones has had five All-Star appearances, won four Gold Gloves, and one Silver Slugger.
