1. Outside Linebacker

We recently wrote a piece discussing the top-10 outer linebackers that the Ravens should target in this year’s draft, and the reason for that is because, this is a major need for the team.

Terrell Suggs and Elvis Dumervil are getting old, I’m honestly surprised neither of them have retired yet. The Ravens have been getting ready for this with players like Za’Darius Smith and Matt Judon, but they need to shore this up quick, because I’d say we’ve got maybe one more season of Suggs and Dumervil (and I can’t promise we’ll get a good season out of the latter).

Like I said before, there’s a lot of good linebackers in this year’s draft, and even better, there’s a lot of linebacker who could fit well into a 3-4 scheme, so there’s a lot to choose from.

I believe that the Ravens should address their linebacker need in the draft this year, either outer or inner, but one of the two, it’s their most pressing need.

Next: Orioles are better off without Matt Wieters

Defense wins championships, and if the Ravens want to win another sometime soon, they’ll need to focus on their defense. The best way to do that is by drafting a linebacker with their first pick.
