Baltimore Orioles: What does the future have in store for Orioles?
By Nate Wardle
1. Baltimore Orioles third baseman Manny Machado
If you are naming the top three hitters in the game, your list just might be Mike Trout, Bryce Harper and Manny Machado.
When you have that kind of talent, you can’t afford to lose it.
But, how in the world can the Orioles keep him?
I don’t think they can, and it is going to be a major problem.
This year, Manny will be manning third base. In his contract year, he might be at shortstop, as J.J. Hardy has a $14 million club option for 2018, and I can’t see the Orioles keeping him at that contract.
Manny is a fantastic fielder and gets better each year at the plate. The only question mark in his game is his health.
