Vance Worley, P

However, part of that depends on the other player mentioned, because Vance Worley fills a similar role. The stats aren’t necessary for Worley, as Oriole fans realize he was an invaluable piece to the team in 2016.

Worley was a spot starter (and successful in that role), a long reliever and also capable of throwing just an inning.

It was evident that Worley liked it in Baltimore and wanted to come back, but the Orioles were not willing to pay his arbitration price. That never meant that he would not be an Oriole in 2017, as there was always a chance this could happen.
