Raiders Running Backs vs. Ravens Front Seven

The Raiders’ aerial assault has been terrific, but it’s the ground game that has been most impressive. Oakland ranks second in the NFL in rushing, and it has not been one guy making big plays.

Latavius Murray is leading the Raiders in carries, averaging 4.8 per carry. The scary part about that stat is he ranks third of the three-headed attack Oakland is using. DeAndre Washington is averaging 6.7 yards a carry, and Jalen Richard is at 8.6 himself.

They will be going up against a Ravens defense that ranks eighth against the run. Timmy Jernigan is having a monster year so far, and is ranked in PFF top 10 interior defenders. Brandon Williams is still a force himself and C.J. Mosley is having a terrific start to the season. If Baltimore can limit the damage on the ground, they should walk away with a win.
