Mike Wallace vs. Jaguars Secondary

Mike Wallace loves having Joe Flacco at quarterback. He has more touchdowns in two games with Joe at quarterback than all of last season with the Minnesota Vikings. More importantly, he is the big play guy once again.

Ever since Wallace’s last season with the Pittsburgh Steelers, his yards per reception numbers have dropped dramatically since his first three years in the league. It’s only been two games, but he is at 18.9 yards per catch and has also been a threat in the red zone.

The Jaguars have Jalen Ramsey at corner, a popular pick for the Ravens during the draft process, and he will line up across Wallace throughout the game. The veteran has to take advantage of the rookie when the opportunity arrives.

Wallace is not going to score in every game, but he has the focus of defensive coordinators right now. That opens up Dennis Pitta and Steve Smith underneath, and it they could be the ones finding pay dirt this week.
