Stay Healthy

This is the one topic you will see in every preseason game. Sure, you do not want to get hurt in the regular season, but it’s more traumatizing when the games do not count.

Injuries have already started to mount up for the Ravens. Rookie Bronson Kaufusi is the only player lost for the season, but far too many players are missing practices during camp. Those injuries linger as the season progresses.

The Ravens are welcoming back two of their stars from injury – Terrell Suggs and Steve Smith – but both will not play Saturday. It would be a shock to see them at all during the preseason.

It’s still up in the air if Flacco takes the field, but do not count on it. If the Ravens are going to be cautious with Suggs and Smith, they will be even more careful with their franchise quarterback.

A win is nice in the preseason, but the main goal is to escape healthy. Baltimore escaped the first game with no major injuries. Let’s hope that stays the same after this weekend.
