This is a deep class for receivers, but this might be a little late for

Sterling Shepard

, who put on a clinic at the NFL Combine. The former Oklahoma dazzled in his workouts and a solid Pro Day could vault him into the mid-to-late second round pick.

The Ravens have one more year with Steve Smith and recently added Mike Wallace in free agency. Add last year’s top choice in Breshad Perriman and you have a crowded group of wide outs. However, they need to draft a talented receiver this year to prepare for Smith’s departure and Wallace essentially signing a one-year deal.

Shepard would give Joe Flacco a weapon in the slot and a playmaker in space, something he has never had in his time in Baltimore. He is almost impossible to stay with in the slot and can make tough catches in traffic. What is most impressive is his hands. He only had eight drops compared to 253 receptions in his collegiate career. For a complete draft profile on Shepard, click here.

Some draft experts have compared him to Randall Cobb and Tyler Lockett, two players the Ravens would love to integrate into their offense as well.
