N/A. No Stats. CB. Baltimore Ravens. CHARLES JAMES

Charles James

was one of the stars of the HBO series “Hard Knocks” and came to Baltimore after the Houston Texans decided to make him one of their final cuts of the preseason. James would end up back in Houston after the Ravens released him to promote Terrence Magee from the practice squad to the active roster. Magee was needed on the 53-man roster due to an injury to

Justin Forsett

. The Texans needed James after injuries started to mount in the secondary.

The Ravens made the decision to get rid of him too soon as he turned out to be pretty solid in his return for the Texans. He had the best game of his career against the Bengals in Week 10, playing on a career-high 48 defensive snaps as well as 11 on special teams. James recorded a career-high six tackles as the Houston defense held Cincy to just six points.

The Ravens secondary was one that struggled in the secondary all season long. They could not find someone to play the nickel cornerback position and it had to sting to see James’ success with another team. They should have given James a chance to play. He couldn’t have done any worse than some of the other guys they tried out.
