Slow Down Todd Gurley

The Rams offense has struggled through the air, but the ground game has been a force with first-round pick Todd Gurley running wild in St. Louis. They are 3-1 when Gurley rushes for over 100 yards, and they will likely run even more with the change at quarterback.

Gurley is coming off a game in which he carried the ball just 12 times for 45 yards. That’s not the production we have come to expect after he posted over 100 yards in his first four starts. The Rams know who their best weapon is on offense and he will get his touches this week.

It’s important that Brandon Williams and the rest of the Ravens run defense continues to do what they have done all season: shut down the opposing team’s running game. Baltimore is eighth against the run, but Gurley is the top back the Ravens might see all season.
