Running Backs (4)

Justin Forsett, Lorenzo Taliaferro, Javorius “Buck” Allen, Kyle Juszczyk

Justin Forsett is coming off a career year and he has been impressive in his limited action in the preseason so far. Some people think that Forsett is a product of Gary Kubiak’s system, but Marc Trestman has been fantastic for running backs as well.

There is very little debate over who the backs will be for this team, but with Taliaferro expected to miss a few weeks with a MCL injury, it leaves the rookie Allen with an opportunity to entrench himself as the No. 2 back on the roster.

The injury to Taliaferro opens up the possibility that Fitzgerald Toussaint or Terrence Magee could make the Week One roster. Their time on the 53-man roster would be short-lived, if at all. One could stick around on the practice squad.

Juszczyk is another player in-line for an increased workload as Trestman likes to throw the ball to his backs out of the backfield. Juszczyk has good hands for a fullback and could be weapon out of the backfield.
