Second-year linebacker Zach Orr has been a guy who is impressing the Ravens’ coaching staff each time he steps on the field. Orr played his college ball at North Texas, where he was a former All-Conference USA First Team selection. He finished his career with the Mean Green with 365 tackles, good for third in the school’s all-time history.

Orr appeared in 15 games for Baltimore a season ago and played primarily on special teams, making eight tackles. Thus far in camp, he has shown an knack for pass coverage, which is certainly a plus when breaking down his chances of making the 53-man roster.
C.J. Mosley, Daryl Smith, Arthur Brown, and special teams ace Albert McClellan should be considered locks to make the final roster. Orr will likely be competing with Andrew Bose for a roster spot, but one has to believe that he’ll have the upper hand in that battle given that he has proven to be a solid special teams players for the team.
