The Baltimore Ravens are in a period when the media has very little contact with the players. Media will not regain full access until training camp begins.

With the Internet that essentially keeps everyone connected at all times, the players are still active when they are away from the field. Some players are more active on social media than others.
Linebacker Terrell Suggs is active on both Facebook and Twitter, though he is more so during the season. Most players are more active on Twitter than Facebook. Running back Justin Forsett posts a Bible verse at the end of each day on his Twitter account.
The running back and other players were watching the Women’s World Cup final, which featured the United States. They took to Twitter as they expressed their emotions as the ladies took to a 4-0 lead in the first half before eventually winning 5-2 over reigning world champions Japan.
Linebacker C.J. Mosley has been following the team as they progressed through the tournament.
The Ravens’ official Twitter page even posted about the World Cup final with a bit of humor.
This Tweet is in reference to the power outage during Baltimore’s most recent Super Bowl against the San Francisco 49ers after the team went up 28-6. The women from the U.S. eventually allowed two goals, but they did not have to worry about power outages.
The social media activity is good as it shows many players participating in different events, including sports camps. In the not-so-distant past, the Ravens had a string of arrests as the off-the-field issues plagued the team.
This year saw three players cut from the team after legal issues. Those players included running back Bernard Pierce, defensive tackle Terrence Cody and cornerback Victor Hampton.

OTAs and minicamp keeps the players busy, so they cannot get into too much trouble. However, now being away from the team, the possibility increases. No team has had more problems than the Ravens since 2013.
The team seems to take a no-tolerance policy to all the problems now. Pierce and Cody were key contributors to the team, but they were cut almost immediately after their individual incidents.
It’s good to see players keeping themselves busy as Justin Tucker is traveling, according to his Twitter account, and Forsett is active in sports camps. Suggs was recently featured on a celebrity episode of Family Feud. The team has had no serious problems since the former backup running back was cut.
If the team has learned anything, they have checked and double-checked the characters of the new players signed. However, no one would have expected Ray Rice to end up in the situation he did.
While the players spend time away the team, they need to remember the incidents of the past and keep themselves in check.
