Staying in Baltimore, The Baltimore Wire’s college basketball preview continues as we visit the Bears and look at Morgan State Basketball .

Last year, the Bears finished 15-16 and advanced to the MEAC Finals for the sixth time in the last eight seasons.

The 2014/2015 season looks to be a strong one for the Bears. Coach Todd Bozeman’s team looks for their third NCAA Tournament bid since he became head coach.

Senior guard Blake Bozeman (6.6 ppg) was selected to the Preseason All-MEAC Third Team. He is the son of the head coach. Juniors Cedric Blossom and Donte Pretlow look to be additional scoring options for the Bears.

Morgan State was picked third in the annual Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Preseason Poll.

The Bears start their season November 14 when they travel to face the Penn State Nittany Lions. The team will also play as part of the Mayan Division of the Cancun Challenge. Other tough road games will be at Rider University, University of California Riverside and California State University at Northridge.

The Bears’ first home game is a good one, as on November 17 they face local rival Towson University.

The MEAC has no announced television games but Morgan will see some TV time on the Big Ten Network (Penn State game) and through Triple Crown Sports within the Cancun Challenge.

My prediction: 18-10 before the MEAC Tournament
