There will be an Arthur Brown sighting

Andrew Luck will have his way with the Ravens’ secondary. Of that there is next to no doubt. With that in mind, the Ravens need to do everything they can to get their best cover-men on the field. That includes Arthur Brown, perhaps the Ravens’ best linebacker in coverage.

Clearly, the Ravens are not especially high on Brown, as he has yet to even dress for a game this year. But anyone who has seen Brown play knows he can at least be an effective linebacker in coverage with his speed and instincts.

Daryl Smith and C.J. Mosley have both had their moments in coverage this year, but both have been up and down as well. Brown has more range than both of them, a trait which would come in handy against the Colts’ speedy receivers and tight ends.

The downside here is that Brown hasn’t played in a real game since last season, so there might be some rust. With the Ravens’ struggles in coverage, though, that is a risk the Ravens should take.
