You would have been crazy to think that Gonzalez would be on this list two months ago, However, after performing excellently in the months of August and September, he will undoubtedly be included in the 25-man playoff roster. His ERA was in the mid-fours at one point in the season, but he has since then dropped it to 3.33 going 9-9 with 105 strikeouts in 25 starts.
The Orioles have already named Tillman as the Game One starter. Chen will likely grab the second spot. The only question remains at the third and fourth spot.
Will it Norris or Gonzalez grabbing that spot? I’m not quite sure, but either way, they will both be participating in the ALDS as the O’s plan to go with a 4-man rotation.
