Morgan State (1-2) vs Howard (1-2)

Morgan State has a tough task this week playing a Howard squad that was competitive in a 38-25 loss at Rutgers.

Both teams feature excellent running games. Morgan State has produced 276 yards per game, led by a monster season from Herb Walker Jr. (460 yards, 8.5 yards per carry, 4 touchdowns). Howard, meanwhile, has averaged 199 yards per game thanks to a balanced attack that features four plays with over 30 yards per game.

As good as Morgan State has been running the ball, they’ve been that bad defending the run, having given up 219 yards per game on the ground. Howard, on the other hand, has only surrendered 117 yards per game on the ground and just 3.5 yards per carry.

With both teams looking to run the ball, this should be a hard-hitting, physical game.
