For a guy who started on the offensive side of the ball as a tight end in high school, Marcus Whitfield has made the transition at linebacker and made it look easy in 2013 for Maryland. Whitfield finished second on the Terps’ squad in sacks (9) and tackles for loss (14.5) in 2013. The 6’3″250 pound linebacker’s game will definitely make the leap into the NFL. He will give the Jags some options at the linebacker position and will have the opportunity to take the next step from a great 2013 season at Maryland.
