The Baltimore Ravens have announced major upgrades that will be coming to M&T Bank Stadium over the next couple years. The team will be investing $120M into the stadium, with the Maryland Stadium Authority investing another $24M.
Phase one of the new upgrades to the stadium will be finished by the start of the 2017 NFL season. Phase one of the upgrades will include new video displays, new cameras in the stadium, and new LED displays.
The Baltimore Ravens will be adding two new 4K ultra-high definition video displays. These displays will double the width of the current standard HD screens, and will stay at each endzone below the upper level.

These new video displays will be 200 feet wide and 36 feet high, and will have the clearest picture of any video display of any stadium in the United States.
The Ravens will also be adding 11 manned cameras as well as other robotic cameras around the stadium, which will provide more angles and more replays. The audio/video control room at the stadium will also have 4K cameras, lenses, and equipment.
The final part of phase one will include new LED ribbon displays which will be around the stadium’s suite level, bringing the total area of added video displays to 28,000 square feet.
Phases two and three will include much-needed, but less flashy upgrades to the stadium. The escalators and elevators to the 500 level of the stadium will receive upgrades in an effort to improve crowd flow. There will also be a new sound system put in the bowl of the stadium.
The Ravens will also add new suites built into the corner notch of the upper bowl of the stadium. Above these suites will be new video boards that will display NFL highlights, stats, and fantasy football information.
The Ravens will also be renovating the entire club level. Every restaurant, bathroom, bar, concession stand, everything will be upgraded. In a similar move, the Ravens will also have kitchen renovations in their concession stands on the non-club levels.
These upgrades will cost the Baltimore Ravens a lot of money, but will make M&T Bank Stadium one of the nicer stadiums in the NFL.
