Baltimore Orioles’ Free Agent Possibilities

The Baltimore Orioles have a lot of needs this offseason, particularly for starting pitcher, followed by first base, corner outfield and relief pitching.

But, as I wrote yesterday, they only have so much money. They can’t sign Chris Davis and Jordan Zimmermann, or Alex Gordon and Zach Grienke.

In my budget post yesterday. I determined the team has about $30 million to spend in free agency. So, let’s look at some options on how to spend that money.

Originally, I had the O’s going after Marco Estrada. However, he was just signed for 13 MILLION DOLLARS A YEAR. And so, when you want to look at starting pitching, it is going to be very hard to get any top tier position players and All-Star caliber starting pitching.  So it means creativity comes into play.
