Evan Phillips – RHP

Evan Phillips is a reliever, and he’s been a good one too. In Triple-A so far this year with the Braves, Phillips has pitched to a 1.99 ERA and a 13.06 K/9. He did get four games in the majors this year and hasn’t done quite as well, pitching to an 8.53 ERA, though over just 6.1 innings.

He’s got some good velocity on his fastball, which can reach up to 97 MPH at times with a decent changeup and a nice slider that hits around 82-84 MPH, which you can see here:

He’s not going to be a starter nor is he likely to be a guy who comes into high-leverage situations, but his solid three-pitch mix could work well in middle relief.
