What the Baltimore Orioles Must Do to Make 2018 Season Worthwhile
By Steve Rudden
At 15-32 and at the bottom of the American League East, the Baltimore Orioles need a ton of help to make this 2018 season worthwhile for the fans.
If you were the Baltimore Orioles General Manager or Manager, what would you do to fix this team?
The team needs to be blown up and the team needs to get rid of the players who are preventing the team from being successful down the road.
Manny Machado is having an incredible start to the season, but a lot of fans will be furious at Dan Duquette if he decides to keep Machado after the MLB trade deadline.

We all know that he isn’t going to sign a long-term deal with the Orioles and the team probably won’t offer him more than $250 million dollars.
Every player should be put on the block at the trade deadline to see what type of offers can be had for them, even Dylan Bundy and Jonathan Schoop. It doesn’t hurt to try.
If the Orioles make significant trades in July, Austin Hays, Cedric Mullins, Ryan Mountcastle, and Hunter Harvey should be called up immediately.
What’s the point of demoting Caleb Joseph if you aren’t going to play Orioles up and coming catcher Chance Sisco on a daily basis?
Sisco deserves to get the majority of the reps since he is the catcher of the future and has shown he can hit the ball when given a chance at the plate. His defense has improved immensely throughout the season.

The good thing about a mini-rebuild is that the Orioles have some good talent in the minors that aren’t far away from making an impact on this team. Once the Orioles make some significant moves, the younger players will have an opportunity in the Major Leagues.
My question for all the fans is, what would you do to fix this 2018 team? Would you try to trade every player if the offer brings back some great prospects?
