Washington Wizards Forward Otto Porter’s scoring numbers have been absent during the first four games of the NBA Playoffs.

The NBA is going through a transition period with teams creating these super teams. Superstars want to play alongside other superstars in order to win that illustrious championship.

The Washington Wizards are one of the teams with a cast of homegrown talent, but they’ve managed to keep the core big three together. I’m talking about John Wall, Bradley Beal, and Otto Porter.

The Wizards struggled in Games One and Two of the Eastern Conference playoffs against the Toronto Raptors but managed to tie the series at two in Washington. If the Washington Wizards have any hopes of stealing Game 5 in Toronto, Otto Porter needs to step up his game.

More from Washington Wizards

In the regular season, Porter averaged 14 points per game. In just four games against the Raptors, he’s averaged 10 points per game. If he can up in points per game the last few games of the series, the Wizards will move on to the second round.

It’s just a matter of time before Otto Porter has a breakout game. It wouldn’t surprise me if it didn’t happen in Game 5 in Toronto.

If Porter gets going offensively, then it’ll take some pressure off of John Wall to make every play. It’s going to do wonders for Scott Brooks and the Washington Wizards if Porter has a great game in Game Five. The Wizards have all the momentum after winning the last two at home.

If the Wizards get off to a fast start in Game Five, then they will win. The Raptors shouldn’t take this Wizards team lightly as they underachieved all season.

Now that it’s the playoffs, Wall, Beal, and Porter need to step up in order for them not to lose that momentum after tying the series at two.
