Baltimore Ravens: Rating the Ravens’ Last 10 First-Round Draft Picks
By Ben Palmer
6. Jimmy Smith – CB, 2011 NFL Draft
★★★★
Jimmy Smith was drafted with the 27th-overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft out of the University of Colorado. He took a little while to get started in the NFL, but he’s slowly become the best corner on the Baltimore Ravens and one of the better corners in the league.
If there’s one thing that kept Smith from being a five-star rating is his injury history. Smith has played in all 16 games just twice in his career, and played in 12 games last year, 11 the year before, and just eight in 2014.
However, when Smith has been out there, he’s been very good. Smith finished the 2015 season with 54 tackles, 10 pass deflections, and three interceptions with one of them being returned for a touchdown, arguably the best season of his career so far.
