Baltimore Ravens: Rating the Ravens’ Last 10 First-Round Draft Picks
By Ben Palmer
7. Michael Oher – OT, 2009 NFL Draft
★★★
If Michael Oher has been anything throughout his career in the NFL, it’s good enough but unspectacular. There’s been a lot of attention on him over the years, mostly thanks to the Academy-award winning movie about his rise to the NFL, but Oher has never proved to be much more than a fairly average offensive lineman.
Oher was drafted with the 23rd-overall pick of the 2009 NFL Draft out of Ole Miss, and played in Baltimore from 2009 to 2013. Oher eventually left the Ravens for free agency and signed a four-year, $20 million deal with the Tennessee Titans.
After missing time due to injury, Oher was eventually released by the Titans after the 2014 season, and signed with the Carolina Panthers soon afterwards. Oher played with the Panthers for the 2015 and 2016 seasons before eventually being released after failing a physical. He has since not signed with another team.
