The Baltimore Ravens have reportedly split ways with wide receiverJeremy Maclinafter just one season in Baltimore.
TheBaltimore Ravensreportedly have released eight-year wideout Jeremy Maclin, per ESPN’sAdam Schefter. As a result, Maclin joins the list of prominent wideouts on the move this offseason as he enters NFL free agency for the second straight year.
Moments after the Ravens news surfaced of his release, Maclin responded via Twitter:

Baltimore saved a total of $5 million by releasing Maclin and frees up salary cap space for the Ravens to add more pieces to strengthen their 2018 roster.
Maclin, 29, hauled in a career-low 40 receptions for 440 yards and three touchdowns in 12 starts last season. Furthermore, Maclin suffered a career-worst season in several other statistical categories including a 55.6 catch percentage and averaged 36.7 receiving yards per game.
The veteran wideout’s release comes shortly after the Ravens added wideouts,Ryan GrantandJohn Brown.
Former Washington Redskins, wide receiver Grant earned afour-year, $29 million dealwith 14.5 million guaranteed from the Ravens. In addition, Grant receives a $10 million signing bonus, per Ian Rapport.
