The Baltimore Orioles just announced a new innovative way to save families some money at the ballpark in 2018.

The Baltimore Orioles schedule 2018 now includes a new ticketing program that gives kids ages nine and under free entry to a selection of home games at Oriole Park at Camden Yards.

The new Orioles ticket program, “Kids Cheer Free,” will be made available on a month-by-month basis. Kids Cheer Free April tickets are on sale now at the official website of the Baltimore Orioles with matchups against including the Minnesota Twins, Toronto Blue Jays, Cleveland Indians, Tampa Bay Rays and Detriot Tigers.

As a result, the Orioles Kids Programs receives an upgrade for the 2018 Orioles season as families can enjoy their kids take part in activities such as:

Per Brittany Ghiroli of MLB.com, the updated Kids’ Corner at Oriole Park will take place adjacent to Gate C this season with brand-new entertainment:

"The new Kids’ Corner will offer entertainment for younger fans, including The Bird House, a new interactive tree house activity center and jungle gym for children. Previous activities such as the moon bounce, skee-ball and larger-than-life Oriole bird bobbleheads will remain."

With Orioles tickets generally quite expensive for larger families, the Orioles new ticket plan will relieve some of the stress of paying up to $150 dollars on tickets.

Within the next couple of years, more teams are expected to incorporate this type of ticketing program in efforts to bring more families to the ballpark.

The more young kids attend the games, the more they will fall in love with the game and start playing it a young age.

The first Kids Cheer Free game is on Orioles Opening Weekend on Saturday, March 31 followed by Kids Runs the Bases on Sunday as the O’s close out their series against Minnesota.
