According to multiple reports, Corey Brewer‘s time with Los Angeles Lakers is up and the Washington Wizards are among the teams interested in acquiring him.

According to NBA Insider and USA Today Sports’ Sam Amick, the Washington Wizards are among the teams interested in acquiring forward Corey Brewer.

The Wizards news comes after the Los Angeles Lakers and Brewer agreed to a contract buyout, per Shams Charania of Yahoo Sports. The buyout comes just one day before the NBA deadline for eligibility in free agency and playoffs.

Other teams reportedly interested include Oklahoma City Thunder, Cleveland Cavaliers, Portland Trail Blazers, Milwaukee Bucks, among others. As of now, the Thunder are the favorites to land Brewer, who won two straight NCAA Tournament titles

However, the teams showing interest in Brewer continue to pile up with the Utah Jazz and New Orleans Pelicans also interested in Brewer.

Brewer, 31, is averaging a career-low across the board with 3.7 points, 1.7 rebounds and 0.8 assists. The former Florida Gator hit his peak from 2013 to 2015, scoring 12 points per game with the Denver Nuggets, Minnesota Timberwolves and Houston Rockets.

Amick’s tweet also mentioned Brewer plans to take his time deciding on which contender to join. The Wizards fit the description of an NBA contender as they stand at No. 4 in the Eastern Conference standings and less than a game behind LeBron’s Cavaliers.

The news comes just a week or so after the Wizards went out and signed point guard Ramon Sessions for a 10-day contract. If Brewer were to join the Wizards, he’d likely play behind Bradley Beal, keeping the duo of Otto Porter and Kelly Oubre in the forward roles.

The reigning NBA champion Golden State Warriors come to Capital One Arena on Thursday night at 8:00 p.m. ET on ESPN as the Wizards look to continue their winning ways.
