The NBA 2018 season resumes for the Washington Wizards (33-24) with a tough road matchup against LeBron James and the new-look Cleveland Cavaliers (34-22) in an Eastern Conference showdown.

The rested Wizards team, except Bradley Beal, who stayed busy in Los Angeles for the NBA three-point contest on All-Star Saturday night and above all, his first career NBA All-Star game. Beal’s 15 points in the first-round weren’t enough to advance as Pheonix Suns’ Devin Booker set a record 28 points in the final round to win the contest.

Beal experienced a thrilling All-Star game as he scored 14 points including four 3-pointers in 16 minutes of action in Team LeBron’s 148-145 victory over Team Stephen.

The Wizards sit at No. 4 in the East standings as they enter the final stretch of the regular season before the NBA playoffs begin on April 14. In front of the Wizards by 2.5 games is the No. 3-seeded Cavs.

However, not far behind are the Indiana Pacers, Milwaukee Bucks, Philadelphia 76ers, Miami Heat and surging Detriot Pistons all fighting for playoff positioning. Entering Thursday’s NBA action, the Pacers are just a half game behind the Wizards.

With John Wall continuing to rehab from left knee surgery, the Wizards went out and brought back point guard Ramon Sessions, per Candace Buckner of The Washington Post. , who played 110 games from the second half of the 2014-15 season and the entire 2015-16 season.
