Nike uncovers the NBA City Edition jerseys as we take an in-depth look at the impressive Washington Wizards uniform design.

The Washington Wizards represent the most powerful city in the world known as the District of Columbia, the Nation’s Capital, which is the motive behind Nike’s design of the Wizards City Edition jersey.

In June 2015, the NBA and Nike agreed on an eight-year global merchandising and marketing partnership. As a result, Nike officially became the exclusive jersey provider of the NBA, WNBA and NBA D-League.

Most noteworthy, the two sides crafted four Edition jerseys to show the rich heritage of the league and its legendary franchises. The first two Edition jerseys, the Association and Icon Edition uniforms, was revealed last summer, followed by the Statement Edition and most recently, the City Edition jersey.

The Washington Wizards represent the most powerful city in the world known as the District of Columbia, which is the motive behind Nike’s latest uniform design of the Wizards City Edition jersey.

The City Edition uniforms debut across the league Jan. 30 as the Wizards schedule shows a home matchup against Russell Westbrook, Paul George, Carmelo Anthony and the Oklahoma City Thunder. Split evenly, the Wizards will sport their uniforms six times at home and on the road for a total of 12 times this season, per Candance Buckner of The Washington Post.
