Baltimore Orioles: Top 5 Most Memorable Games of 2017

2. Baltimore Orioles, Dylan Bundy Shutout Seattle Mariners, 4-0
Four of the games on this list feature walk-off wins. Three of them are on home runs.
This game, not so much.
The Orioles went into Seattle riding a four-game winning streak. That streak led the team from 61-65 and 11.5 games out to 8 games out and 66-65 going into this game.
Erasmo Ramirez matched up against Dylan Bundy on the mound.
The game started auspiciously. Tim Beckham made an error against the first batter, Jean Segura. But, Bundy struck out Yonder Alonso and got the next two on groundouts.
Jonathan Schoop hit a solo shot in the first inning, and that was all Bundy needed. In the third inning, Bundy walked two but also struck out the side.
After a Nelson Cruz foul pop out to start the fourth, Kyle Seager had a bunt single. That was the only hit the Mariners would have all night. Bundy struck out two batters in the fifth and seventh innings.
The Orioles got more runs on solo home runs, coming from Welington Castillo and Manny Machado twice.
That led to the ninth inning, where Bundy was going for a complete game shutout. Again, a rough start as he hit the first batter, Robinson Cano.
Furthermore, two groundouts and a Danny Valencia strike out and the game ended with a 4-0 win for the Orioles. Bundy’s line was 9 innings pitched, 1 hit allowed, 2 walks, 12 strikeouts, 116 pitches thrown and a game score of 95, one of the best scores in baseball in 2017.
