Early National Signing Day began on Dec. 20 for Maryland football and college football programs around the country.

Maryland football had a 2017 season that was full of potential success offensively and experience on defense possibly playing a huge part in that success. Furthermore, ACL injuries sidelined not one but two quarterbacks.

The University of Maryland football team captured notable victories starting with the season opener at Texas 51-41. Maryland football also earned wins at Minnesota 31-24 and a thrilling home victory vs Indiana 42-39.

Their losses were against some of the better competition in the country. UCF, Ohio State, Wisconsin, Rutgers, Michigan Michigan State and Penn State got the better of them this season.

When they won, you saw a team that was playing well and in sync with one another even if there were a few mistakes here and there. Their losses were hard to watch. Even though they ended the 2017-18 season on a four-game losing streak, signing another top 25 recruiting class is something to be proud of.

Maryland football signed 22 recruits (10 defensive, 11 offensive, and one special teamer) and they have the No.18 2018 recruiting class and No.4 2018 class in the Big Ten. This is their second straight Top 25 recruiting class.
