Baltimore Orioles: 10 Free Agent Left-Handed Hitters Team Could Pursue
By Ben Palmer
4. Curtis Granderson – OF
At 36-years-old, Curtis Granderson is still kicking around, and he’s still a good hitter. While his batting average has been lacking, he’s managed an average OBP (which, given that his batting average is usually around the .210s, that’s fairly impressive) and still has great power.
This past season, he slashed .212/.323/.452 with 26 home runs, 74 runs, and 64 RBIs. He’s a solid power left-handed outfield bat, something that the Baltimore Orioles could certainly use (at least, the left-handed and outfield part).
Granderson would likely be fairly inexpensive, given his age and poor batting average the past couple years. He can still produce offensively, and the Orioles could use that.
