The Baltimore Orioles have made great strides in their farm system development over the past year. Let’s take a look at some of the players on the Orioles roster who might help rebuild their rotation for 2018.

The Baltimore Orioles have made great strides in their farm system development over the past year. With the emergence of Chance Sisco and Austin Hays making contributions at the major league level along the growth of several other players, the farm is not as barren as was once believed.

However, one area that still lacks is starting pitching. Aside from top picks like Dylan Bundy and Kevin Gausman working as a young force for the rotation, the lack of depth was clearly evident in this year’s pitching fiasco.

While the Orioles have indicated that their intention is to improve the starting pitching rotation next year with acquiring at least two outside organizational arms, it is worth looking at what the team has down in the minors to work with.
