Rundown of Baltimore Orioles prospects in 2017 Arizona Fall League

Andrew Faulkner, LHP
Andrew Faulkner was picked up by the Baltimore Orioles in a trade with the Texas Rangers for cash considerations. The former 14th round draft pick has made appearances in the big leagues with Texas but has had a tough time staying there.
The lefty has been solid at Triple-A Norfolk sporting a 2.43 ERA in 37 innings. However, his biggest concern is his walks where he has given 23 passes this year. He could certainly use some more innings considering he spent some time on the DL.
Duquette has worked to acquire lefty relievers to give the skipper Buck Showalter more options. Donnie Hart, Richard Bleier, Vidal Nuno, and Paul Fry all fit the same profile. As he is on the 40 man roster, this will give the Orioles a chance to see whether it is worth keeping him on it.
In a 2015 prospect video review provided by MLB.com, the southpaw possesses a fastball that ranges between 90-94 mph along with a split changeup that has above average potential. His ceiling has been stated as a potential No. 3 starter or bullpen set-up man.
While it is unlikely, he could potentially be called up and used in Baltimore with the month of September now in session.
