3. Dave McNally – 1,476 career strikeouts

Dave McNally played for a total of 13 years, and for all but his final season in 1975, he played for the Baltimore Orioles (that last season was with the Montreal Expos).

McNally had the best pitching season in Orioles history in regards to average game score in 1968, where he averaged a game score of 68 (which is ridiculous). In that same year, he had the 10th-best season in terms of ERA differential, pitching to a 1.95 ERA, 1.03 points lower than the league average of 2.98.

That 1.95 ERA is the Orioles record for the lowest season ERA, though everyone in 1969 threw a low ERA (seven, including McNally, had a sub-2.00 ERA), including the current record-holder for best single-season ERA in MLB history, Bob Gibson, who threw a 1.12 ERA that year.

McNally earned three All-Star nominations, won two World Series, and led the AL in wins in 1970 with 24. In fact, he had four-straight 20+ win seasons from 1968 to 1971.

Also fun fact, McNally is the only pitcher in MLB history to hit a Grand Slam in a World Series game in game three of the 1970 World Series. In short: McNally was the bomb.
