9. Dennis Martinez – 858 career strikeouts

Dennis Martinez played for 22 years in the MLB, from 1976 to 1998. He started with the Baltimore Orioles and stayed with them until 1986 when he went to Montreal Expos. He stuck with the Expos through the 1993 season, then going to the Cleveland Indians from 1994 to 1996, then one year with the Seattle Mariners in 1997, and finishing his career at age 43 in 1998 with the Atlanta Braves.

Martinez is one of the most successful Latin American pitchers in the history of the MLB, finishing his career with just one out shy of 4,000 innings pitched. He was a four-time All Star, MLB leader in wins and ERA, and he pitched a perfect game in 1991 with the Expos. He also hold the record for the most career wins for a pitcher who never won 20 games in a single season.
