Baltimore Orioles: For those wanting to buy, be careful what you wish for

2015 – Zach Davies to Milwaukee Brewers for Gerardo Parra
Cover your eyes because it’s about to get ugly.
The red flags surrounding Parra could not have been more glaring. He was a career year, playing over his head. But, the Baltimore Orioles needed an outfielder, as Travis Snider wasn’t cutting it (who cost the Orioles two other starters, Steven Brault and Stephen Tarpley.
Brault has pitched a few times in the major leagues for the Pittsburgh Pirates.). So, Parra, it was. Parra hit .237 for the Orioles, the team missed the playoffs, and that was that.
But Davies went to Milwaukee and has been part of their rotation ever since, going 24-13. Now, his career ERA of 4.25 isn’t anything to write home about. And, Davies is 10-4 in 2017, albeit with a 4.90 ERA. So, the dominant offense the Brewers have assembled has certainly helped Davies out.
But, those numbers look better than the entire Orioles’ rotation, so who are we to judge?
