Slow up the Norfolk shuttle

I realize it is an easy way to keep fresh arms in the major leagues.

But, you have to remember, these guys are human. You don’t want them thinking every night as to where they will be next. Thinking about whether if they leave up a run, they will get demoted, or not get promoted.

Now, I’m not a psychologist, so I don’t know if the players’ mentality is affecting their performance. But, how could it not? If you were constantly looking behind you at work, you would start slipping, right?

Most of the pitchers who have been called up have done a good job for the Orioles. Think of Tyler Wilson in his spot start against Boston, Gabriel Ynoa coming in after Wade Miley was forced to leave the game.

Alec Asher has been so good since being called up that he now needs to be in the majors. Logan Verrett is 2-0.

But, Crichton has an ERA around 10. However, he is currently the only guy who is at the end of his ten days in the minors, so he has joined the team, and most scenarios involve him pitching Wednesday night. Buckle up for that…

Make the changes, and go with it for a few weeks, at least.
