Orioles to power there way through Kansas City

The Baltimore Orioles are known for their power hitting ways. Mark Trumbo is heating up, Manny Machado is hitting the ball out of the park, and then there is Trey Mancini.

A lot of the Orioles’ runs come via the home run ball. On the other hand, the Royals leave up the second-fewest home runs in the game. Only the Cleveland Indians have allowed fewer home runs this year than Kansas City.

Left-hander Danny Duffy, who starts on Friday for the Royals, has allowed two home runs this season. Duffy has only allowed one home run to anyone on the Orioles, and that was hit by Mark Trumbo. Manny Machado is hitless in 11 at-bats vs. Duffy, and Chris Davis only has one hit in ten at-bats.

Meanwhile, Nate Karns is expected to pitch Saturday, and he has allowed six home runs this season.

The Orioles will look to keep the long ball rolling by changing one trend and keeping another going during the three-game series.
