The Ravens selected their second Alabama Crimson Tide in round three Friday night, drafting fierce outside linebacker Tim Williams.
According to BaltimoreRavens.com’s Garrett Downing, Ravens assistant general manager Eric DeCosta revealed the team’s desire to draft Williams if he was available in the first round. Despite Williams’ availability when the Ravens were on the clock Thursday night, the team secured him in the third round.
DeCosta discussed Williams’ value with Downing saying:
"He’s a tenacious guy. Outstanding motor. Outstanding physical skills as a pass rusher, and he really fits our defense."
