NBA Playoffs 2017: Complete Celtics vs. Wizards playoff schedule
In the 2017 NBA playoffs, an intriguing series has evolved in the Eastern Conference playoff bracket featuring the Washington Wizards against the Boston Celtics.
If you thought the Washington Wizards first-round series against the Atlanta Hawks was hostile, wait until the Wizards play the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference semifinals in the second round of the 2017 NBA playoffs.
The highly anticipated series opens Sunday at 1:00 p.m. ET on ABC as the two teams clash at TD Garden for Game 1. With the win Friday night in Atlanta, the Wizards advance to the 2nd-round in the NBA playoff bracket for the second time in the last three seasons.
Ironically, the last time the Wizards appeared in the East semis, they were eliminated in six games against the Hawks. However, the Wizards gained sweet revenge on the Hawks Friday night, especially sweet for Wizards John Wall who went to Instagram following the Game 6 series victory, calling out his nemesis Dennis Schroder, who in 2015 posted a picture of himself and Kent Bazemore laughing at Wall.

As the top seed in the East, the Celtics will have home court advantage, which will be a tough task to overcome. During the regular season, the Wizards lost both games in Boston including a postgame altercation between Wall and Celtics’ Jae Crowder. Wizards guard Bradley Beal and Celtics’ Marcus Smart had their own share of heated exchanges throughout the regular season.
