Baltimore Orioles vs. New York Yankees: Three Things to Watch in Weekend Series
By Nate Wardle
Keeping the Judge in the Park
Aaron Judge started the season on a 2 for 15 slump, with five strikeouts and zero home runs.
However, he is now hitting .269 with seven home runs, which is tied for the American League lead. He also has one of the top WARs for hitters in the AL at 1.3.
Judge has been everything the Yankees had hoped for, especially while their first base combo of Greg Bird and Chris Carter has struggled mightily.
While discussing keeping the ball in the park, with two lefties pitching for the Yankees in C.C. Sabathia and Jordan Montgomery, Trey Mancini is likely to appear in two games for the Orioles. Mancini has five home runs in his limited plate appearances.
The Baltimore Orioles have allowed the second-fewest home runs in the American League at 17, with the Yankees allowing the fourth-fewest in the AL at 19.
