The 2017 NBA playoff schedule presented an earlier than normal tip-off time for the Wizards vs. Hawks NBA playoffs Game 5 Eastern Conference first-round series as the Wizards held off the Hawks to take a 3-2 series lead.

It wasn’t pretty, but the Washington Wizards were able to sneak past the Atlanta Hawks, securing the pivotal Game 5 victory as the Wizards look to advance the East Semifinals in the 2017 NBA playoffs.

The dynamic backcourt of John Wall and Bradley Beal combined for 47 points to help the Wizards to a much-needed victory. Wizards’ Bojan Bogdanovic added 14 points and six rebounds off the bench including two clutch three-point baskets in the second quarter to help the Wizards maintain a one-point lead headed into halftime.

On the other hand, foul trouble proceeded to plague Wizards’ Markieff Morris who has picked up five personal fouls for the fourth straight game, bringing his total to 24 personal fouls. On top of that, Morris’ foul trouble forced him to play just 20 minutes in the Wizards’ Game 5 win. Morris, who averaged 31.2 minutes per game in the regular season, has failed to play at least 30 minutes in four of the five games this series.
